In the training match on Friday I will be playing up in attack, to train you and Enes about strikers’ positioning as I have always played in defence and midfield in training, so want to give more direction to the strikers.

I am very pleased with Enes’ quick progression as a striker, I had told him two weeks ago to be more decisive about shooting - to shoot when he had a good striking chance - and that fantastic chipped goal on Friday showed we well he had taken that advice on.

He was telling me that another team had tried to sign him on, and I am getting disgusted at the way teams try to steal our quality players, just because their managers dont have the skill or patience to turn inexperienced players into quality players, in the way I have taken on so many players new to league football, and turned us into quality. It is great that Enes and his dad have the loyalty to recognise his progression is best with us. I was disappointed with James and Billy’s lack of loyalty to me and the team, so it is pleasing when others show they value what we are achieving and resist other teams dishonest approaches.

With Joel now knowing where we train, some more of the Sutcliffe Park Boys are likely to join in training, so we could have a game with them joining in, and then our regular training game against Eltham Progress.

I am going to set up a friendly against the team I saw training who also wanted a friendly against us, as I want to see how we do now we have had a lot of practice on a full size pitch and full size goals.

We have now scored THIRTY in our last six games, and only conceded 16, so we are going crazy out there! How quickly we have moved on from the team that had a string of unlucky defeats, to one so successful that we have a midfield and attack full of goals, and a classy defence who are getting clean sheets for us.

On friday I want to prepare for our nine a side tournament on Sunday, so we will just play with nine in the friendly, I wonder how we will do playing two players short. I will lend them another player, as we have lent ben and Michael to opposing teams, so now it will be someone elses turn.

On the training game on Friday Cian drifted over from his left side to far onto the right side, where Enes and Ben already were. I told Cian to stay on his side of the pitch, to keep the balance of two players on both sides of the pitch - Sam T and Cian on the left, Ben and Enes on the right. The difference of the situations was that Cian didnt tell me he wouldnt listen to me, and didnt need to be reminded of the same thing for a solid half hour, but just needed a couple of reminders before sticking to the position he had been given to play in, and so keep the shape of the team.

We have a friendly training game on Friday, and a friendly game on Sunday v Junior Reds Knights, so I hope to see you holding position and not needing reminders. When Luke joined the team, he needed constant reminders just like Eddy does now, but now Luke has learned to hold position so I dont have to tell that to him, so I want Eddy to be just like that, learning from mistakes, not making the same ones in game after game.
